- Abstract
In this work the effects of an electron spin orbit coupling trough a potential well taking into account the Rashba effect are presented using a fist approach perturbation method, the description of the problem will be performed with a Pauli Matrix formalism, this matrixes interact with both the intrinsic magnetic field of the problem and the external magnetic field. The effects of the system quantification are studied trough the transmition and reflection coefficients with and without the magnetic field. For this case we show the energy variations involved due to the spin orbit coupling and the spin polarization, also the wave vector dependencies are show leading to modifications of the momentum vectors.
