- Abstract
The article discusses the works of Andreas Vesalius, an anatomist, physician, and author of one of the most influential books on human anatomy, De humani corporis fabrica. dealing with his role in medical history. His relation with historian Charles O'Malley is discussed. Topics include Jewish life, persecution and marginalization of the Jews, and Vesalius' knowledge of Hebrew. The article also talks about writings by Avicenna.
