- Abstract
The article analyzes the poem "Paradise Lost" by John Milton. Particular attention is given to Milton's depiction of the Eve, as the author suggests that she is a character who brings change and is in constant pursuit of knowledge. It focuses on Eve's role during the archangel Raphael's visit with Adam and Eve during their meal and the author states that Milton attempts to reinvent the social role of domestic wives.
