A critique of the book "El túnel" by Ernesto Sábato, with a focus on language and communication, is presented. Topics include philosopher Alexander Spirkin's theories regarding the relationship between speech and consciousness, the importance of the protagonist's aversion to verbal communication, and the use of italics or capitalization to indicate multiple interpretations of words and phrases used in the protagonist's narration.
