- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book “La casa de cartón” by Peruvian author Martín Adán is presented. It explores the fusion of poetry and prose in a novel, with a focus on the "Poemas Underwood," which are some verses written by the main character before taking his life. It examines death as an expression of life and the images of street as a symbol of getting out to live. An comparison with similar literary works is also given.
