- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the autobiography "Historia de la monja alférez escrita por ella misma," by the Spanish nun Catalina de Erauso. The author discusses the historical circumstances that contributed to the acceptance of the life and work of the nun Catalina de Erauso in the 17th century, as well as the narrative resources that she used to tell her life story. Particular focus is given to historical references of Catalina de Erauso as a baroque character whose work and life contributed to baroque aesthetics.
