- Title
Growler and its impact on Australia's EW capabilities.
- Authors
Haddock, Fred
- Abstract
The article discusses the issues concerning the EA-18G program, wherein some detractors at Pentagon argued that the two-seat version of an F/A-18 AEA aircraft would implement more workload. It states that the U.S. Navy remained in its opinion and the program in which it ordered 57 EA-18Gs to fill the gap left by the EA-6Bs' retirement. Moreover, it notes that Australia has requested export approval for the purchase of six EA-18Gs as substitute for EF-111.
