- Abstract
This contribution aims to analyze, through four case studies, the "sustainable development" dimension of service innovations built on original forms of public-private partnership. These innovations have the characteristic to seek some form of balance between territories, between people and between modes of travel. It therefore seems legitimate to question the content 'sustainable" to advance some assumptions about the relationship of the service economy and sustainable development. We advance the assumption that while this partnership context would be particularly conducive to the development of sustainable tertiary innovations, the involvement of stakeholders is a key success factor of innovation in service -- and invite decision makers to subscribe to such partnerships to develop these new sustainable services.
