In the article, the author features American Alan Lomax, who has spent seven months in Spain in 1952 to record traditional music in the country. Lomax also produced a number of programmes of his recordings for the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) and Columbia Records, among others. He cites his experiences in tracing down the Lomax collection when he was invited by Lomax's daughter Anna Chairetakis Lomax to become the editor of the Spain Series of Rounder Records project.
