The article critiques several English dramas including "The Castle of Perseverance," by David Lindsay, "Herod," and "Play of the Weather," by John Heywood. It examines the use of alliterative place-name list of each English and explores the possible history for the usage of such motif. It explores how the alliterative place-names are being used in early English drama.
