The article discusses studies which examine the binding site of RNA polymerase V (Pol V). It states that X. Zong and colleagues show the association of Pol V with pericentrometric regions which are rich in transposable elements. On the other hand, A. T. Wierzbicki and colleagues show larger intergenic binding site of Pol V.
