- Abstract
The article discusses the potential of US28, a viral receptor which treats human cytomegalovirus (HCMV)-related diseases. It has been noted that US28 has the capacity of encoding G-protein-coupled receptor which is essential in the formation of new blood vessels. HCMV has employed US28 to administer signaling networks within infected cells. Researchers reveal that US28 receptor induces the activation of vascular endothelial growth factors.
