- Abstract
The article presents a column on a discussion on how to meet a high level in media literacy for the young media producers. It states that students requires to have involvement in reading novels, watching novel based film, and make a comparison of the two. It presents a book report format which will help students to develop their visual literacy skills. It also suggests several books and films to be used in media literacy classes which include "Hamlet," by Shakespeare, "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte, and "Old Yeller," by Fred Gipson. Meanwhile, information is also presented including the International Student Media Festival, the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, and the Digital Photography Educational Program of the Web Photo School.
