- Title
Tooth Time.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the dental care instructions for school children in the United States. It reflects that one of the important changes in childhood is the loss of primary teeth and growing of permanent teeth, which begin around the age of five. In this age children learn more about tooth care since they came to know that the new teeth must last the rest of their lives. Since teeth are vulnerable to bacteria living in mouths that can cause dental cavities. Therefore the teacher should make the students aware of this. He/she can find an adult model to teach the children about the necessary repairs they must take when cavities form. The teacher can seek the help of a local dentist in the classroom to provide teeth models. In the growing stage of permanent teeth the students should be advised about the food choices and dental health. To make the students aware of the importance of tooth brushing through a fun and special brushing activity. This can be done while giving toys to them for playing dentist by brushing the teeth of the toys.
