- Authors
Mackenzie, Ann Haley
- Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a topic of debate in the science classroom. The term was coined in 1956 and has since become a reality, with various forms of AI being introduced into classrooms. There are three main types of AI: narrow or weak AI, general or strong AI, and superintelligent AI. AI is currently being used in personalized medicine and healthcare, and it has the potential to revolutionize these fields. In the science classroom, AI can provide feedback, create lesson plans, and save teachers time. However, there are ethical concerns and the need for diversity in AI development. It is important to balance innovation with ethical responsibility when using AI.
