The author has described the supply-demand relationship of the liquidity of market and reviewed the argument on the article about the speculative demand for money. The author has criticized the conclusion regarding the analysis of the demand for money by presenting a diagram for the liquidity preference function that is constructed on the basis of fixed tastes and a given total wealth budget. According to the author the writers of the article has take for granted the permanence of the liquidity preference displacement created by monetary policy and assumed that a shift in liquidity preference due to monetary action alters the demand schedule confronting future policy.
