- Abstract
The article attempts a political approach to the Neo-Confucianism concept of li which is commonly translated as pattern or principle. Topics discussed include the political conflict between Neo-Confucian scholars Yi Saek and Chong Tojon, the rise of Neo-Confucianism in Late Koryo Korea, and an examination of the concept as coherence and principle.
