- Abstract
The article examines the possible contribution of local wellness policy on the improvement of the academic performance of the students in the U.S. Topics discussed include the assertion of health care organizations and school nutrition advocates on the interdependence of health and education and the purpose of the School Nutrition and Reauthorization Act of 2004. The influence of school activities and nutritional programs in improving the health condition of the students is also mentioned.
