- Abstract
Within the scope of the study, the views of Farabi, Ibn Sina, Ikhwan-i Safa and Suhrawardi, who are among the most important representatives of Islamic philosophy, will be tried to be expressed briefly and concisely. The views of the aforementioned Islamic philosophers about the survival of the soul are similar to each other. According to our philosophers, the soul/spirit separates from the body after death and somehow continues its existence and reaches immortality. According to these four philosophers, when the soul/soul leaves the body at death, it regains immortality not in a physical way but in a spiritual way. But this immortality is for the souls that have attained perfection. Our philosophers have different explanations about souls that do not reach perfection. As it is known, this issue has been subject to the criticism of Imam Ghazali and many Islamic scholars who advocate bodily resurrection. In addition, the idea that the soul/spirit continues to exist spiritually after leaving the body with death does not quite agree with the understanding of bodily
