- Abstract
The article focuses on the study that illustrates the variation of Cav2.1 (P/Q-type) Ca2+ channels that form familial hemiplegic migraine type 1 (FHM1). The main objective of the study is to examine the generalization of cortical spreading depression (CSD) at the neural transmission. Researchers cite CSD as a comprehensive mechanism that forms migraine headaches. They stated that FHM1 mutation contributes to the neural activity of P/Q Ca2+ channels.
