- Abstract
Response to: Williams, Kotamarti, and Schulman re: "Outpatient Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy: Are Patients Ready for Same-Day Discharge?" Although patient selection and surgeon experience remain critically important toward developing a safe outpatient prostatectomy practice, the potential advantages regarding reducing the costs associated with robotic surgery[7] and reducing nosocomial infections[8] without compromising patient satisfaction[9] make it an appealing approach. 9 Ploussard G, Almeras C, Beauval JB, Gautier JR, Loison G, Salin A, Tollon C.
