- Abstract
In order to understand the hydrodynamic characteristics of the new type of fabricated rapid closure device, and provide the basis for the selection of closure device and the formulation of the casting plan, based on the gravity similarity criterion, a systematic experimental study was carried out on a single piece of closure device in an indoor water flume, the influences of different water flow conditions (water depth and velocity) and device weight (different fillers) on its underwater movement were compared and analyzed. The results show that there is a good negative correlation between the bottoming lateral drift distance and the weight of the device. The water depth and flow velocity have a positive correlation with the bottoming lateral drift distance of the device. Furthermore, based on the dimensional analysis method, dimensionless numbers representing the flow conditions and the device weight are established, and the prediction relation of the bottoming lateral drift distance of the device is established,which has been verified by field tests.
