- Abstract
The article explores the role of jellyfishes in the food chain in Canary Islands. Topics include development of community science programs called citizen scienceor participatory environmental monitoring; and platforms where citizens can report sightings of marine species with special attention to jellyfish and invasive species where several species of tunicates, ctenophores, siphonophores, jellyfish have been identified in the waters of the archipelago.
