- Abstract
This document is an editorial from the journal Frontiers in Psychology titled "Community series: Spanish Psycholinguistics." It discusses the emergence and professionalization of experimental research in Spanish Psycholinguistics in the 21st century. The editorial highlights the increasing focus on the cognitive processes underlying the acquisition, learning, perception, and production of the Spanish language, as well as other regional languages used in Spain. The document also introduces a curated collection of articles that explore various aspects of Spanish Psycholinguistics, including gender representation in language processing, visual word recognition, word recognition with non-standard diacritics, bilingualism, and the representation of affective words. The collection aims to broaden the scope of psycholinguistic research and contribute to a more inclusive understanding of language processing across diverse linguistic contexts.
