- Abstract
The article discusses the reading habits of secondary school teachers at selected high schools in the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area in Nigeria. Questionnaires were given to the teachers at the Iganmode Grammar School, Anglican Grammar School, Ansarudeen Comprehensive High School, and Iju-Ebiye High School, in the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area to determine how often teachers read, their purpose for reading, and the types of materials they read. The returned 95 questionnaires from the 100 administered showed that most of the teachers read textbooks daily which indicates they read about information in their field and may not be knowledgeable in other subjects.
