The article focuses on the impact of the Kennedy Doctrine on decisions drafted by U.S Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy in case United States v. Windsor that involved issues dealing with same-sex marriage under the Defense of Marriage Act. Topics discussed include Kennedy's decision in case Lawrence v. Texas that dealt with sodomy laws, moral disagreements surrounding the Windsor case and moral conflicts over gay marriage.
