- Abstract
The article presents information on an underwater television and acoustic systems called the Eye in the Sea, located at the Lerner Marine Laboratory, North Bimini, Bahamas, which has been considered to be made available for scientists who have suitable research needs. It is stated that the Office of the Naval Research and National Science Foundation have stated willingness to consider proposals for researches. The system, devised by John C. Steinberg and his associates at the University of Miami, Institute of Marine Science, is stated to consist of an underwater video camera and hydrophone which are in place on a reef area 20 m below the surface.
