- Abstract
"The Tulip Age" refers to the period between the years of 1718-1730 and includes the reign of Sultan Ahmed III. and his Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damad İbrahim Pasha. During the period in which water structures were popular, fountains became the most striking structures. In the "Introduction" chapter; a summary of information about Tulip Period and the fountains of this period was presented. In the chapter called as "The Fountains of Tulip Period"; a few of fountains built in the Tulip Period were introduced in terms of their architectural and decorative features. In the "Evaluation" chapter; after the field work, the detected fountains were evaluated by comparing with each other. In the "Conclusion"; it was found out that the elements in the decoration program of The Tulip Age have already existed, but not commonly used, in the Ottoman Architecture; namely, none of these elements have been imported from the West.
