- Abstract
Novel coumarin based 1,2,3-triazoles derivatives were synthesized from 4-hydroxy coumarin and various substituted azidesusing click chemistry approach with a view of synthesizing 'hybrid molecule with linker' that may be biologically active. Triazole compounds [N-(substituted phenyl)-2-(4-(((2-oxo-2H-chromen-4-yl)oxy)methyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1- yl)acetamide] were synthesized using Copper sulphate as a catalyst, sodium ascorbate as a reducing agent and mixture of solvents (DMF+t-buanol+water). Compounds were well characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Mass spectrometry and IR spectroscopy. Synthesized triazolecompounds were tested for antifungal activity against various fungi species such as A. niger., A. flavus., Ganoderma spp., Penicillium spp. by agar cup-plate method.
