- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the importance of agricultural history. Topics discussed include need of reconstructing human-natural transitions affected by rice agriculture with enslaved African labor across the coastal wetlands of the southeastern U.S., the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) and nomination of Julie Dash for the Grand Jury award and to win the Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
