- Abstract
The article discusses the clinical, radiological and morphological evaluation of 53 patients who had lateral meniscus tears left in situ during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. It cites the successful outcome revealed by stable posterior horn tears of the lateral meniscus left in situ at the time of ACL reconstruction. It also highlights considerable healing and functional restoration of tears with repeat magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and second-look arthroscopic surgery.
