- Title
Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC) Fact Sheet.
- Abstract
The article presents facts about vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). It states that VBAC with informed consent is the standard of care for women with one prior low transverse uterine incision. Based on a study, maternal morbidity rates are lower for women who plan a VBAC compared to women who have an elective repeat cesarean. Another study revealed that VBAC is safe for non-diabetic women who are expected to give birth to infants that weigh more than 4000 grams.
