- Title
Nursing on WHO's Research Agenda.
- Abstract
Effective solutions to today's unprecedented public health problems cannot be found without health research. This is why World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Advisory Committee on Health Research (ACHR) has been mandated to present a research agenda for the 21st century to the 1988 World Health Assembly for its approval. The agenda will help WHO formulate its health for all strategy into the next century and prepare governments to meet public health challenges. At International Council of Nurses' urging, ACHR agreed to include nursing research on the agenda at its next meeting in October 1997.
