- Abstract
Always the woman is being studied : her sensitive nature , the mystery of the birth that holds within herself , the beauty add her fragility . For these characteristics , her has been accused of sinfulness and danger for the man, who lost for her, the Earthly Paradise , forced to a life devoted to hard and painful death . In the medieval context , the more rigid and sectarian , Dante offers a picture of the woman equal to man , sinful creature but also exemplary , as much as he could be the man . The poet recognizes the woman his precious task of progenitor, terrestrial and spiritual, her becomes the means through which man can conquer the salvation of the soul, making peace with God.
