- Abstract
Thinking about the democratization of the public school, a fundamental condition for the improvement of education, consists, besides the access to education, in the participation of society in decision making. This research aimed to elaborate and evaluate a proposal of a minicourse about class council for students of the EMI course, in order to contribute to their political formation in professional and technological education in a perspective of integral formation. In the research, a qualitative methodology was chosen, consisting of a pedagogical intervention that involves the planning and execution of interference in educational processes, and later the evaluation of their effects. The data obtained were analyzed according to the content analysis proposed by Bardin (2011). As an intervention proposal, the mini-course "student participation in the class council: who wins with that?" was developed as an educational product, aiming to contribute to the strengthening of student participation of integrated high school students in the class council. The results pointed to the need to reorganize the class council in the institution, taking the class council regulation as a guiding axis.
