- Abstract
This paper aims to present and discuss the strategies employed by 22 6th grade students from a private school cited in the west zone of the Rio de Janeiro city, who took part in an intervention teaching involving games, that aimed to introduce concepts related to prime number. It is an analytical study, developed under the Vergnaud's theoretical ideas. The analysis allowed to recognize that situations and games offered in the intervention, as well as representations, offered conditions for students to appropriated of those schema related to the concepts of multiple, divisor, composed numbers and, where we wanted to reach, prime numbers
