- Abstract
The article focuses on the author's work making traditional Native American moccasins, particularly those in the Northern Cheyenne Style. Topics include the materials and the traditional designs used; the story of a trade with a student and practitioner of Native American craft named Jack Smith, whom the author did not know personally but was able to exchange materials with in order to make a pair of moccasins; and the background and life of Jack in South Dakota is also mentioned.
