- Title
RESPONSIBLE SCHOLARSHIP IN "DARK TIMES".
- Authors
Falk, Richard
- Abstract
The article discusses the argument that responsible scholarship is an expression of conscience which does not necessarily mean a possession of political outlook. It explores the concept in reference to the perception of the American conservatives and progressives on political events such as the Vietnam and Iraq Wars. It also notes the role of the academe in influencing responsible partisanship. It also examines Hannah Arendt's and Noam Chomsky's proposition on intellectual responsibility.
