- Abstract
Three-phase buck rectifiers are connected as parallel systems to improve the output power, efficiency, and total harmonic distortion (THD). A simple digital PI-control has been implemented to minimize the circulating current due to the unbalanced DC-bus currents generated by each rectifier. In addition, the parallel systems are connected with boost-SEPIC (Single-Ended Primary Inductor Converter) at the output stage for comparison with the performance of single converter system. The proposed converter yielded near-unity power factor, and higher efficiency compared to single converter system. Selected results are validated by simulation and experiment.
