THE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION AND THE OWNERSHIP OF SPORTS STATISTICS: THE UNTOLD STORY OF ROUND ONE.
- Authors
Hylton, J. Gordon
- Abstract
The article discusses the decision on the complaint of C.B.C. Distribution and Marketing Inc. for a declaratory judgment against Major League Baseball Advanced Media and Major League Baseball Players Association in federal court in Missouri. The court finds that the undisputed facts establish that the players do not have a right of publicity in their names and playing records as used in the company's fantasy games and that it has not violated the players’ claimed right of publicity.
