- Abstract
The article offers information on the legislative act concerning the minimum water flow in Connecticut. It notes that the act was signed into law by Governor M. Jodi Rell in June 2005 addressing the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) of Connecticut to issue a minimum instream flow regulations that would require dam operators and water diverters to release water to help maintain the minimum daily flow. It also states that the law on the minimum water flow in the state manifests a powerful attempt to the scientific and effective balance on the demands of users on the benefits of flowing waters.
