- Abstract
The article focuses on an experimental framework in understanding the ecological risks of using seawater as a coolant. It says that coastal buildings use tons of seawater every year as cooling agent. It states that biocides, which are added during the cooling process, are discharged back to the environment along with the seawater. It adds that the framework for risk assessment will provide environmental managers useful information in developing appropriate actions for biodiversity protection.
