Ocean Warming Detrimental To Inshore Fish Species.
- Abstract
The article reports on the study conducted by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) which revealed the first known damaging impact of the rise in surface water temperature on a fish specie in Australia. It says that CSIRO found out the negative effect of this phenomenon on the growth rates of banded morwong, an inshore species living in Australia and New Zealand. It notes that this specie had suffered from physiological stress as the temperature increases.
