- Abstract
The article reports on the ongoing investigation of an outbreak of human Salmonella I 4,[5], 12:i:-infections associated with exposure to rodents sold as food for pet reptiles and amphibians by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with state health departments. Data revealed that a total of 46 cases of human Salmonella infection were reported in 22 states between August 29, 2011 and February 2, 2012.
