- Abstract
This article presents a case of tetanus in a woman with diabetes, where the symptoms were initially misdiagnosed as seizures. The article emphasizes the importance of recognizing early symptoms of tetanus, such as jaw trismus, to avoid unnecessary investigations. It highlights that tetanus is a significant health issue, particularly in low-income countries, and calls for improved awareness and recognition of its clinical manifestations. The authors also discuss the treatment protocol used in this case, which led to gradual improvement in the patient's condition.
