- Abstract
The article discusses the method of nightguard vital bleaching, a bleaching method used for treating discolored teeth. This technique involves acid etching the enamel with 37 percent phosphoric acid, and then bleaching the teeth by applying 30 percent hydrogen peroxide to the tooth surfaces. After this heat exposure is given. The time required for effective bleaching is generally 20 to 30 minutes using the heat lamp, or approximately two minutes per tooth when using a heating element, although times vary with tooth sensitivity.
