- Title
Handling and bonding of porcelain veneers--clinical evaluation of a new veneer handling instrument.
- Authors
Oliva, Richard A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that evaluates the handling and bonding of porcelain veneers. Porcelain laminate veneers have become the esthetic dental restoration of the 1980s, which enable the dentists to restore teeth anatomically by bonding a thin porcelain shell directly to a prepared enamel surface using composite resin as the adhesive. The study selected six clinicians to test the veneer holding instruments (VHI) and found that increased their ability to see and reduce the difficulties and time required in the procedure.
