- Abstract
The article focuses on the timing of cessation of breeding in forest voles in Middle Urals, Russia. It states that the large forest area in the Middle Urals damaged by windfall, where censuses of rodents on permanent trap-line cuts were taken to determine the absolute and relative abundance. It says that the length of the breeding period depends on the cessation of breeding and onset. Moreover, climatic conditions can lead to delayed breeding in spring and its cessation in summer.
