- Abstract
The article focuses on the defence industry of Israel. It mentions that the nation's overall exports were in excess of 6.75 billion dollars in 2009, and the majority of what it produces are intended for export. It cites the main market of Israel defence export which includes North America, Asia and Europe. It discusses several developments in land systems which include armoring systems for vehicles from Plasan, missiles in a transport and launch canister from IAI, and anti-short missile system from Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. It mentions several air systems defence products including Elbit Ltd.'s Skylark 1LE hand-launched unmanned vehicle, Hermes 90UAV and Hermes 900. It also says that a communication system which is called C41 is the area of the biggest growth of the industry.
