- Title
Lack of action on sudden cardiac deaths.
- Abstract
The article presents a survey commissioned by the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young on the failure of primary care trusts to develop a strategy for identifying people who are at increased risk of sudden cardiac death one year after the introduction of Chapter 8: Arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Death of the National Service Framework for Coronary Heart Disease. The survey of primary care trusts, general practitioners and the general public reinforces concerns that no significant progress has been made to address the unexplained sudden cardiac deaths of young people every year in Great Britain.
